The collision happened around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday at Gratton Street and Victoria Avenue, according to Riverside police. Florentino Martinez of Riverside died about an hour later at a hospital, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Bureau. Martinez was headed west on Victoria in his 1988 Toyota pickup when a man at the wheel of a 2009 BMW going south on Gratton struck the truck, which veered off the roadway and slammed into a palm tree, police said. The intersection does not have a stop light, and traffic on Victoria has the right-of-way. The BMW driver was not hurt, said Riverside police Lt. Guy Toussaint. The circumstances of the crash remained under investigation. 0 comments Be the first to share your opinion on this article! |
