Dental screenings to be offered for children

Friday, March 8th, 2013
Issue 10, Volume 17.

MENIFEE – The Children’s Dental Practice will be offering free dental screenings for families with children entering kindergarten. Screening dates are scheduled for Monday, April 15, and Monday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Screenings are open to families throughout Riverside County and no insurance is required.

Per California law, children are required to have a dental screening by May 31 of his/her first year in public school. Parents must present an Oral Health Assessment Form, signed by a dentist, Advertisement

when registering their child for school.

"Required dental screenings are visual examinations and do not require the use of x-rays," says Ruth Bol, DDS, of The Children’s Dental Practice. "Tooth decay is the most chronic childhood disease, caused by bacteria in the mouth. These screenings ensure that children are ready for a pleasant and productive day with their teachers."

Appointments can be made by calling (951) 301-9111. The Children’s Dental Practice is located at 27180 Newport Road, Suite 3. For more information, visit
