High school softball team commemorates fallen coach

TEMECULA – Following the celebration of life ceremony for Scott Raftery at Sunridge Church, almost three dozen former players from around the state and country showed up at Linfield Christian High School’s softball field to play a commemorative pick-up game in honor of their beloved coach who had been at the school for 16 years. He went on to work for the CIF. Raftery passed away of cancer on Feb. 23 at age 55.
