WILDOMAR - Two people died from a two-car crash at a Wildomar intersection, a Wildomar police sergeant said today.

A man who was the passenger in a Mercury Tracer was pronounced dead at the scene following the 4:47 p.m. crash Sunday at Monte Vista Drive and Bundy Canyon Road, said Wildomar police Sgt. Peter Ginnakakos.

The woman -- who was driving the Tracer -- was transported to Inland Valley Hospital in critical condition later died, Ginnakakos said.

The Riverside County Fire Department reported it had to free her from the vehicle before she could be transported to the hospital.

"The preliminary investigation revealed a white Mercedes 300 SE was travelling north on Monte Vista when it failed to stop at the stop sign at Bundy Canyon Road," Ginnakakos said. "The Advertisement
