SAN DIEGO -RIVERSIDE - A magnitude-4.7 earthquake rattled the San Diego area today, jostling homes and businesses but causing no reported injuries or damage.

The temblor, which struck at 9:55 a.m., was centered 12 miles east-southeast of Anza in Riverside County, 14 miles southwest of La Quinta and 16 miles south-southwest of Palm Desert, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was originally reported as having a magnitude of 5.1, but was downgraded a short time later by the USGS. It was followed by dozens of aftershocks in the same general area.

The ground movement was stronger in eastern areas of San Diego County, and many people in coastal communities did not feel it at all, public-safety officials said.

ANZA - A 5.2 earthquake that was felt widely up and down the coast in San Diego County and in the southwest Riverside area at about 9:56 this morning was just one in a series of earthquakes have been rocking the Anza area this morning. According to the US Geological Site, people as far west as Oceanside and San Diego felt the jolting.

Earlier quakes ranging from 2.7 to 4.7 have been felt over the last hour.

Local Anza resident Jodi Thomas said, "From Terwilliger the quake hit hard there was no mistake it was a quake not even in a trailer. Movement was vertical in two different sequences of strong jolts then it rolled in between and after for some time. Nothing fell as the whole trailer moved as one."

Wow. Speechless. Keep the faith. I'm sure you've thought of eyvnethirg by now. Forgive me if I'm repeating other posts- just hoping to create a spark. Joe called his business associate 41 minutes after the neighbor's cam caught the truck pulling out- but only 9 miles from the residence & eyvnethirg seemed ok. Dinner out? Were they late eaters? Did they frequent restaurants near the cell towers? Did summer have a laptop? Joe doesn't seem like a guy who would drop eyvnethirg to go surfing in Mexico. Even if he were, out of sheer convenience, he wouldn't have left his meds in the car. No forign DNA in the truck. I would think that's a pretty good indication that it was driven by one of them. Summer's purse? Anything of hers left in the truck that she would have otherwise logically taken? Sunglasses? The only thing that would seem to make some sense is something going bad between them spontaneously while out; she takes the car with the boys, can't go home, appeases kids with toys while figuring out a strategy. Probably met someone in the parking lot. Probably not in Mexico. Key is the phones- close to home and Summer's worked for two days. Whatever caused this seems to have happened between the cell towers. Any search of the parking lot on the far side of the bridge? Looks pretty remote from Google earth and between the towers. Was Joe's Dell recovered? In videos on a table, but can't tell what's file videos from family videos. Keep it in the public eye and stay strong.
