A total of three grants were awarded for use in the current and next fiscal years. The largest award -- $617,474 -- originated from the U.S. Office of Drug Control Policy's High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program. The money will be used to fund operations carried out by three regional task forces, mainly for crackdowns Advertisement The California Emergency Management Agency awarded two grants -- one in the amount of $207,122, and another totaling $200,000. The first grant was furnished under the Law Enforcement Specialized Units Program and will be dedicated to domestic violence response and investigation in the southwest part of the county, according to the sheriff's department.
