Firefighters were dispatched at 3:55 p.m. Friday to a brush fire along Highway 74 on the Santa Rosa Indian Reservation, south of Idyllwild and east of Hemet, where the car and remains were found. The find was near a near a seven-acre brushfire near Anza that was contained Saturday morning and brought under control today, Advertisement Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Wallace Clear said investigators were unable to identify whoever was inside what appeared to be a severely burned 1990s Ford Mustang. An investigation was ongoing in what the sheriff's authorities believed was a suspicious death, Clear said.
