Nedeljkovic was was jailed in lieu of $33,000 bail in Riverside.

Deputies with a warrant arrived at the home in the 27600 block of Stanford Drive about 4 p.m., noticed Nedeljkovic was under the influence and found 25 grams of the opiate, according to Green.

"According to the jail records, Nedeljkovic is on probation for a drug-related crime"

Can someone with a law degree of some sort help me understand why someone already "on probation for a drug-related crime" had custody of their children to begin with. They should have been removed after the first crime. She already proved to the rest of society she was an unfit mother, so why allow her to place her children at risk again? I don't get it. Please, someone, enlighten me.
