The champions of the 27th Annual Fallbrook Winter Junior Satellite Tournament played Jan. 12-13 and Jan. 19-20 at the Fallbrook Tennis Club included six players from Murrieta and Temecula.

The Murrieta duo of Nicole Arribere and Emilia Liang won the Girls 16 Doubles competition, Temecula players Harrison Carrillo and Matthew Hynek won the Boys 14 Doubles title, Alana Andrews of Murrieta was the Girls 16 Singles champion, and Murrieta’s Faith Pearson captured the Girls 12 Singles division.

Four of the divisions utilized a round-robin format, including the Girls 16 Doubles division won by Arribere and Liang and the Boys 14 Doubles won by Carrillo and Hynek. The other divisions involved bracket play. Andrews won the Girls 16 Singles title after a 6-0, 6-2 championship match victory over Julie Rea of San Marcos. Pearson won the Girls 12 Singles finals with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Escondido’s Makenna Roehr.

Murrieta’s Madeline Bush reached the Girls 14 Singles final before a 6-4, 7-5 loss to Rancho Santa Fe’s Grace Bruton.
