Lady Lions win big, 17-1

TEMECULA – The Linfield Lady Lions softball team (1-4) picked up their first win with a 17-1 shellacking of the winless Loma Linda Academy team (0-4).

Freshman Aubrie Campanella went 4-for-4, including a double and one RBI, and scoring three runs. Junior Brook Hayes was also perfect at the plate, 3-for-3, driving in three runs and scoring once herself. Sophomore Kayla Smith had three runs and three RBI’s on only one hit. The team collected 13 hits.

Senior Carlyn Barker is credited with the win, allowing only five hits and one earned run. They next face Aquinas (8-2) who are coming off of a 10-0 win at Calvary Murrieta.
