TEMECULA – Temecula Recycling and Hine Temecula Mazda are proud to present The Recycled Art and Fashion Show 2013. The event will take place on April 20 at Monte de Oro Winery (35820 Rancho California Road) from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. This fundraising event will help support the art department at Mt. San Jacinto College.

The art students from Mt. San Jacinto College will be taking the runway with their recycled fashion/wearable art. Most of the pieces that the students design are made from at least 50 percent of recycled items like newspaper, plastics, can tabs, metals, duct tape, plastic bags, rubber, thrift store items, and more. All designers identify their pieces and most make a statement or portray a message.

The event also features a Juried Art Show where the art is made of recycled items. The celebrity artists will include Kris Estenger, a fabric artist, and Maggie Sichter, a young aspiring artist from Chicago.

The ‘green’ expo area will feature ‘green’ friendly businesses, local artists, recycled art and furniture.

Early bird tickets are available for $10 per person, which includes light appetizers and desserts. Tickets will go up to $15 per person after April 15. Tickets can be purchased online at
