Two-Acre brush fire kills two dogs, destroys home, vehicles

WILDOMAR - A two-acre brush fire destroyed a house, vehicles, trailers, sheds and boats and killed two dogs in Wildomar this afternoon, a county fire department spokeswoman said.

The blaze was reported about 2:15 p.m. in the 21900 block of Walnut Street. No evacuations were reported, and the fire was contained by 3:20 p.m., according to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

The house that was destroyed was being remodeled. The blaze also destroyed two workshop outbuildings, four utility sheds, 14 vehicles, a 20-foot travel trailer, Advertisement

seven utility trailers and two boats and their accompanying trailers, Hagemann said.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
