TEMECULA – My Big Fat Greek Restaurant quietly opened its doors for business in preparation for an all-out May 17 grand opening that was attended by local government officials and members of the Temecula Valley and Murrieta Chambers of Commerce.

World-renown bouzouki artist Alekos Galas and special guests joined pop sensation Helena Maria. Dancing is always encouraged at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant and wait staff was on foot to teach patrons Greek dance moves.

The restaurant will feature live music all summer long on an ad hoc basis and envisions instituting a late-night lounge later in the summer. My Big Fat Greek Restaurant will also participate at off-site events – such as the Grand Opening of Jacob’s House on June 15, a monthly Always on a Sunday Greek Festival to be held at Keyways Vineyard, a series of outdoor Meet the Filmmakers Movie Screenings, and other such happenings.

Starting in June, My Big Fat Greek Restaurant will add Wine Wednesdays, that will feature the best wines of the Temecula Valley paired with menu dishes and special add-ons created by the restaurant’s executive chef.

Patrons can expect authentic Greek food and European-style service and ambient at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, that is replete with two heated outdoor patios that are also available to local businesses as meeting and private party venues throughout the year. Other services provided by the restaurant include full-service corporate and wedding catering as well as a concierge lunch service for local businesses.

My Big Fat Greek Restaurant was developed by Beverly Hills-based Bear Industries, headed by CEO and founder Reeve BenAron who is also developing other hospitality-based businesses in the Inland Empire, North San Diego and Orange counties.

My Big Fat Greek Restaurant is a member of both the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and Marietta Chamber of Commerce, Young Valley Professionals and Women in Film with an eye to join and participate in local service organizations in the Temecula Valley. The restaurant plans to stage at least one charity event per month.

My Big Fat Greek Restaurant is located at 26460 Ynez Road. For more information, visit
