Menifee Checkpoint Results; 2 Arrested on Suspicion of Drinking and Driving, 9 Vehicles Impounded and Towed

MENIFEE - Two people were arrested for drunken driving during an overnight sobriety checkpoint sheriff's deputies conducted at a Menifee intersection, a sergeant said today.

Deputies began their operation at 7 p.m. Friday and ended it by 3 a.m. today. A total of 2,024 vehicles passed through the sobriety checkpoint with 39 of Advertisement

them screened, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Sergio Rodriguez said.

Twenty field sobriety tests were done but only the two motorists were arrested for alcohol-related driving. Eight drivers were cited for driving without a license and five were cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license, Rodriguez said.

Nine vehicles were impounded and towed.
