31-year-old man found dead in park identified

LAKE ELSINORE - Coroner's officials today identified the man found dead by a sheriff's deputy on patrol a Lake Elsinore park.

The remains of Craig Lamotte, 31, of Corona, was found at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Alberhill Ranch Community Park, 28594 Lake St., the Riverside County Coroner's Office reported.

Coroner's officials said the circumstances behind Lamotte's death were under investigation, but preliminary indications pointed to natural causes, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE - On Friday, August 23, 2013, at approximately 4:30 PM, a patrol officer was driving through the Alberhill Ranch Community Park, located in the 28000 block of Lake Street, when he saw a male adult lying on Advertisement

his back, on the grass, near the parking lot.

The patrol officer stopped to check on the man and discovered he was deceased. Additional officers responded to the location and cordoned off the park. Investigators from the Lake Elsinore Police Department and the Coronerís Bureau responded and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates the man died from natural causes.

The name of the decedent will not be released until the next of kin is notified. Since this is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
