CIF-SS 11-Man Football Week 3 Polls

Central Division: With a 49-28 win over Rialto, Heritage (4-1) remains #2 behind Rancho Verde (3-2). Elsinore’s (2-3) 22-42 loss to Murrieta Valley dropped them from #3 to #4. Paloma Valley’s (5-0) 49-34 win over Temecula Valley raised them to #3.

Inland Division: Vista Murrieta’s (3-1) 28-35 loss to Cathedral Catholic dropped them from #1 to #2 behind Rancho Cucamonga (5-0). Murrieta Valley remains at #5. Murrieta Mesa (5-0), and Great Oak (2-2) are listed in Others. Chaparral’s (2-2) overtime loss to Tesoro dropped them off the Others list.

CIF-­‐Southern Section Cross Country Divisional Team Rankings

Division 1 Boys: Great Oak Boys dropped from #2 to #3. After just one week in the top ten, Vista Murrieta dropped from #10 to off the list.

Division 5 Boys: Hamilton’s #10 ranking lasted only one week as they are off this week’s list.

Division 1 Girls: After Great Oak Girls dropped from #1 to #2 behind Capistrano Valley last week, they dropped to #3 behind Trabuco Hills this week. Last week, Vista Murrieta dropped from #5 to #7; this week they are #8. Chaparral dropped off the list from the previous week’s #8 spot; they are now tied with West Ranch at #10.

Division 5 Girls: Linfield Christian dropped again this week to a tie at #10 with Desert Christian. They dropped last week from #6 to #8.

CIF-­Southern Section Boys Water Polo; Team Rankings

Murrieta Valley, Vista Murrieta and Great Oak Ranked in The Top 12

The Nighthawks are Number 2 in the CIF Division 2 Polls as league begins.

 

Murrieta Valley captured the second spot in this week’s Division 2 CIF Polls that were released Monday. Coach Bryan Lynton’s Nighthawks are 8-5 as they close out their non-league schedule Saturday against Los Osos.

"We have a very strong team this year" said Lynton. "We are looking to go all the Way".

The Broncos are ranked tenth in the Division and have a 9-1 record, having only lost to ML King on September 24. Vista Murrieta plays their league opener against Temecula Valley on October 8.

The Wolfpack is 11th in the division in this week’s polls. Great Oak is 6-4 overall and play Serra today. They open at home to face Murrieta Valley on Tuesday October 8.
