2013 All-Sunbelt League Football Selections


Heritage's Hifo Named Player of the Year

The Sunbelt League has released its list of All-League selections.

Heritage High School's Limahai Hifo was named Player of the Year. Hifo helped lead his team to the Central Division CIF Southern Section Finals, playing both offense and defense. As a running back, he rushed for over 1700 yards and 17 touchdowns, caught seventeen passes for 250 yards and two scores. As a defensive back and linebacker, he accounted for over forty tackles and four interceptions, including a 100-yd return in the CIF semi-finals playoff game against Colony. He is committed to San Jose State.

Paloma Valley quarterback Brent Boehm was named Offensive MVP of the Sunbelt League. Boehm completed 64% of his 260 passes for almost 2400 yards and 35 touchdowns. He was only intercepted seven times and carried a QB rating of 122. He also rushed for 575 yards and six touchdowns.

Heritage linebacker Sione Takitaki was named Defensive MVP of the Sunbelt League. The BYU-bound senior accounted for 64 tackles, two sacks, one interception and one blocked punt.

Heritage had a total of thirteen players named to All-League teams; Paloma Valley had 12; Temescal Canyon had ten.
