72-year-old man arrested in Menifee for viewing child pornography

On Monday, December 9, 2013, Menifee Police officers responded to a local restaurant in the Countryside Market Place, Menifee, regarding a report from a customer that an elderly male adult was viewing child pornography on his laptop. Deputies contacted the suspect inside the restaurant and confirmed he was viewing child pornography utilizing the restaurantís open Wi-Fi.

The subsequent investigation and search of his residence revealed, Charles Turton Cook (72), was in possession of numerous digital photographs depicting young male children on his laptop computer. Cook was booked into the Southwest Detention Center for possession of child pornography and bail was set at $5,000.
