Benefit Concert for Typhoon Relief This Sunday

Entertainment, Food Support a Great Cause

The public is invited to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and food and to support a benefit concert for Typhoon relief in the Philippines this Sunday, December 15 from 1-6 pm at the Community Recreation Center at Ronald Reagan Park in Temecula.

The recent typhoon was one of the worst recorded storms in history killing thousands, leaving millions homeless and affecting millions more. Worldwide, organizations are reaching out to help. Locally, this is an opportunity for the Valley’s residents to step up and help through donations and purchases. The event is organized by My Haus Filipino Bakery and restaurant and the Filipino Cultural Center of Temecula, Inc.

Attendees will be treated to performances by several local bands, comedians, dance groups, martial artists as well as an introduction to Filipino culture through various performers and food vendors.

The afternoon’s performers will feature local bands: Crash Course 101 (San Advertisement

Diego), The Side Effects (Murrieta), The Pacers (Murrieta) Musicali (Moreno Valley), Claude Salomi (Murrieta), Ikaw na Bossing (Murrieta).

Also performing will be: Adrei Ativo (Moreno Valley), AJ Jackson (Fallbrook), Anna Villanda (Murrieta), Leon and Kiana Guico (Murrieta).

Comedians Cory Clarke and Chanelle will bring levity and laughter.

The Great Oak Hip-Hop Dance Group will perform as well as dancers from the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and local Filipino cultural dance groups.

A number of local businesses and individuals have donated items for the silent auction: Loma Linda Medical Center, Chiropractor Dr. Anthony Becerra, DJ Entertainment, Moxie4You, Xtreme Beauty, Attorneys Jonathan Preston and Diang Singleton, Ed Batto (moving company), Ronnie Taniguchi (massage), and Southwest Riverside County Association of REALTORS®.
