The holidays are filled with joyful music and festivities for everyone to enjoy. The bright colorful Christmas lights are enchanting to our sight as well as the cheerful sound of Christmas music. However, for many of us who have lost loved ones, the holidays can be very bittersweet with some sadness.

First, we must pace ourselves and not feel overwhelmed by the holidays. If you are feeling stressed out or a sense of guilt because you donít feel happy, just realize itís ok to feel emotion. We must†pace ourselves throughout the holidays and not get overwhelmed.†If you donít feel like celebrating the holidays in the same†manner as before, make sure you let your feelings be known to your family. Communication will help your family and friends understand†you.

If you enjoy watching holiday movies, shopping, baking goodies, making Christmas crafts, or whatever it is you enjoy, continue to do those things at your own pace.†The holidays represent spending time with those we love, and making memories with those special people in our lives.

Decorating is a big part of the Christmas tradition, and has always put me in a good mood. Creating a colorful Christmas tree with twinkling lights seems to brighten up my spirits. Cooking has always been a huge part of the holidays with great food, baked pies and lots of eating! Itís always fun watching our children and grandchildren open their Christmas gifts with such joy in their face.†The magic of Christmas is believing.†For some, itís believing in Santa Claus. For others, itís believing in ourselves. Also, giving to those we love and who are less fortunate than us is a part of the Christmas spirit.

Whatever it is you do during the holidays, do it with love in your heart, and the joy of Christmas will come to you in ways you never imagined. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we will feel†love all around us, if we open our eyes and hearts. Donít let the stress of the holidays get the best of you! Take control and you can capture the best of the holidays!

Wishing you all peace, happiness and a fruitful holiday filled with love and comfort. The best is yet to come! Follow your heart and let all your dreams come true.
