LAKE ELSINORE – The Rock (a Foursquare church) in Lake Elsinore is hosting Christmas at the Castle on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the majestic Lake Elsinore mansion commonly known as "Aimee’s Castle."

The home was built in the 1920s by noted evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, and the property has long been the subject of great interest and fascination due to its unique architecture and spiritual heritage. The home is now owned by The Rock, which is part of the Foursquare church denomination founded by McPherson.

"Our church has a long-standing connection to the Lake Elsinore community," said pastors John and Debbie Booker. "Aimee came here decades ago and her mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ lives on. We’re excited to extend her mission and vision for this area and see people transformed by God’s amazing love."

The event will feature guided tours of the home, Christmas music, refreshments and a candlelight service. Tours will be offered in English and Spanish, and all are welcome. Families visiting with small children are strongly encouraged to supervise children closely throughout the event. Parking will be off site at Realty Center Inc. 30713 Riverside Drive Lake Elsinore, California 92530 with complimentary shuttle service to and from the property.

For more information and to RSVP, visit www.christmasatthecastle.net or call (951) 226-7914.

The Rock is a satellite campus of The Rock in Anaheim. The church is located at 33093 Deeble Entrance St., with two morning services: 9 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and a Spanish service at 1:30 p.m. Children’s church is offered at all services, and mid-week "Rock Group" bible studies meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The Bookers co-pastor the church with Spanish pastors Art and Wendy Davis. To learn more, visit www.gototherock.com.
