E-waste recycling fundraiser to benefit Promise Lutheran Church and Preschool

MURRIETA – On Saturday, Dec. 14, Promise Lutheran Church and Preschool and Temecula Recycling will join efforts to bring to the community an Electronics Waste Event/ fundraiser. The location of the event is 25664 Madison Ave. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The fundraiser will benefit Promise Lutheran Church and Preschool. All electronic waste will be accepted, as well as appliances, clothes, shoes, metals, CRV Advertisement

Electronic waste has become an increasing problem on a global scale. Daily advancements in technology make older equipment obsolete on an accelerating basis. It is estimated that about 80 percent of electronics are thrown into landfills where certain components contaminate the environment with toxic substances such as lead and mercury.
