Temecula resident's custom built nativity scene stolen and recovered

TEMECULA - On Monday, December 9, 2013, the Temecula Police Department investigated a theft of a custom built nativity scene from a residence in the city of Temecula. On Friday, December 13, 2013, officers assigned to the Temecula Police Department Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team received information of the possible whereabouts of the nativity scene.

POP officers responded to an address in the 22000 block of Sparkle Dr., Canyon Lake. Their investigation revealed the nativity scene at the location belonged to the victim in this case. The property was returned to the victim and additional follow-up investigation is being conducted.

Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call Officer Todd Johnson at the Temecula Police Department by calling (951) 696-3187.
