LEUSD honors December Students of the Month

Friday, December 27th, 2013
Issue 52, Volume 17.

LAKE ELSINORE – Eight high school seniors from the Lake Elsinore Unified School District were recently honored by the Student of the Month program.

Greggory Redman, Elsinore High School

Greggory a Valedictorian candidate, has been nominated by Congressman Ken Calvert (R-42nd) to attend the Air Force Academy. If accepted, he plans to study USAF Space Operations while becoming a USAF Fighter Pilot.

Courtney Bess, Elsinore High School

Courtney, also a Valedictorian candidate and ranked number 2 in her class, will attend BYU, studying education, so she can become the kind of "teacher who inspires students."

Brennan Baker, Lakeside High School

Brennan, a Valedictorian candidate, would like to attend UCSD, Northeastern, or NYU. His goal is to earn his J.D. and become a lawyer, ultimately working for the FBI as a federal prosecutor.

Tracy Tran, Lakeside High School

Tracy, a Valedictorian candidate, plans to attend either Duke University or Boston Advertisement

U, where she will study biomedical engineering with minor in religious studies.

Jacob Zinda, Temescal Canyon High School

Jacob is a scholar athlete. He hasnít yet selected a college, but has an interest in earning a biology degree so he can prepare for a medical research career that would include new treatments for leukemia or breast cancer.

Brienne Finch, Temescal Canyon High School

Brienne plans to attend the US Coast Guard Academy and is actively involved in the Civil Air Patrol, Interact, NHS, and the Lake Elsinore Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Victoria Sinclair Smith, Southern California Online Academy

Victoria, LEUSDís first and only student PTSA President, has a goal to attend either UCLA or Georgetown as a public policy major with an eye towards educational reform.

Kody Holmes, Ortega High School

Kody plans to attend community college upon graduation. His ultimate goal is to earn a business degree from CSU Northridge.
