Temecula United boys U10 play at Stub Hub Stadium

TEMECULA – On Dec. 14, the Temecula United and San Marcos Revolution boys U10 joined forces to share a unique experience playing in LA Galaxy’s home stadium at the Stub Hub in a 7v7 fast paced round robin tournament.

Greeted at the entrance they were escorted through the stadium and up to the Players Club where they had a chance to relax, have the best seat in the house, and really take the stadium atmosphere all in.

Shortly afterwards, the team made their way down to the locker room, strapped on their boots and had a chance to get a "behind the scenes" look at a pro’s life before the game.

Making their way out the tunnel they passed by the massive MLS Cup trophies, the players’ game room, and eventually walked out the tunnel onto the field. The boys then went on to play in the stadium while their parents, families and future fans cheered them on from the stands. The boys finished middle of the pack with two wins/two losses, but more importantly, a thirst for more.

"It is our responsibility as competitive coaches to seek out these unique playing opportunities for our players. These are the memories they will keep with them for a lifetime and hopefully fuel the passion for the sport in the years to come. There is nothing better for me as a coach than to see the pure joy in a kids eyes when soccer is the reason for it," said Coach Matt Sayers.
