SAN JACINTO - A 35-year-old San Jacinto man who was reported missing on Monday was found today in Coachella, apparently OK, and foul play is no longer suspected in his disappearance, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

John Ecker had not been seen since leaving his home in the 600 block of East Old Second Street early Monday morning, ostensibly to go to work in Glendora, said Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Wallace Clear.

Clear said earlier that attempts to contact Ecker had been Advertisement

unsuccessful and that foul play "may be a factor," leading authorities to circulate his photo and ask for public help to find him.

At 5:45 this morning, a man matching Ecker's description entered a convenience store in the 45000 block of Dillion Road in Coachella, and the clerk recognized him from a flier distributed by Ecker's family. The clerk called sheriff's deputies, and Ecker was reunited with his family, according to the sheriff's department, which did not say why he went missing.
