I look forward to the day that the last US Marine leaves Afghanistan and no more of our service men are in that region. Our service people have accomplished their mission and should not be there any longer than it takes to pack-up and leave.

The US military is the best at what we need them to do which is to protect every American and our interests. Let the politicians do the "nation building" and risk their lives in regions like the middle east. Frankly, countries like Iraq and Afghanistan deserve the likes of our present crop of politicians as all of them are incapable of moving anything forward.............

God's Speed to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Forces and our Camp Pendleton Marines

Why? What's the point? Our politicians in Washington don't care about winning it anyway. You think the CIC would let his daughters sign up and send them over there to fight? If he isn't willing to say yes to that, then none should be going.

140 murderers are deployed to Afghanistan to kill innocent civilians, women and children, thereby creating more haters of us, Americans. When will we, as a nation, finally understand that when you shove a rifle down somebody's throat, that person will NOT see you, as Mr. Cheney so eloquently would like us to believe (or hoodwink; take your pick), as a liberator?

If I punch you in your face, will you invite me this year's Thanksgiving dinner?

You know, isn't it interesting how people always hide behind God and religion . . . while sending another human being to his/her death? Many of these soldiers will NOT return alive, yet so many here wish them . . . God's good wishes. Yeah, I'm sure that really helps . . . when that soldier comes home in a body bag. Riiiiiiight, riiiiiiiiiiight.

Finally, as a God-fearin' and worshippin' nation, one would think, and I certainly do, that we would be THE most anti-war and pacifist nation on the face of the earth. We're not of course; quite the opposite is true! So what does that tell us about our TRUE faith and belief in God?

It's all a lie, of course. We pray to God one minute . . . while we kill the next. And the last time I checked, when the moment of truth comes our way, I don't think we're goin' upstairs. Let me know when you get there, please.

Lee you are entitled to speak your mind, but really - murderers? Being nice has NOT worked it that part of the world- they hate us for our freedoms, for our equality, for our Christianity or lack of a religion. We have aided the Muslims - helped them - still no "love" for us, so yes, pushing a rifle down their throats is the only thing they seem to respect.

As a former US Marine you offend me and every other service man and women. These young men and women are being sent in harm's way by elected officials that you and the rest of this country picked and keep in office. If you want to call people names start there but try to make a difference in a more constructive manner.

Either you are a roaring drunk or mentally ill. In either case get some help.

Disgusting.....no more cannon fodder for this continuing war of US neocolonialist aggression. Afghanistan is now the longest lasting war in our nation's history. Enough is enough!

President Obama and Congress, immediate withdrawal of all American overseas troops now! Defund, dismantle and decommission the US war machine!

Put Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice on trial before the World Court in the Hague! Justice, better late than never!
