Alongside talent, the first main ingredient in becoming a success in the music industry is desire. Joanna Pearl, a local singer/songwriter from Murrieta, definitely has the desire and talent to make her dream of becoming even more of a success in the industry a reality.

Pearl has quickly generated a buzz in the area by taking her talents to various social media facets and has creatively devised a plan of attack to ensure the possibility of a record contract.

Pearl has been working with producers from San Diego and Los Angeles, and by constantly staying in close online contact with her fans, Pearl has seen her social networking popularity rise tremendously in the past few months.

"I do have an EP in the works, which is a collection of about five songs of mine that are in the final stages of production, and I can’t wait for people to hear them," said Pearl.

To help promote not only herself but also the new album, Pearl has had some help and guidance from Amy Watson, with Fuzion Point Marketing, and Al Fischer from Fisch Productions – who produced Advertisement

The Kickstarter campaign is something that will help Pearl raise funds to finance her upcoming EP. The announcement of her Kickstarter launch took place after her first online Stageit concert on Jan. 30.

Stageit is a unique atmosphere as it acts as an online concert venue where artists perform live, interactive, monetized shows for their fans directly via a laptop.

Sara Bareilles, Bonnie Raitt, Rick Springfield, Kris Allen and LeeDewyze are just a few of the many artists that have recently taken to Stageit to offer this more up-close and personal experience for their fans.

Pearl’s Kickstarter campaign will run for 30 days, from Jan. 31 through March 2, and once complete she will begin to plan the details for her album release party where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Michelle’s Place, a breast cancer resource center in Temecula.

Sponsors of all kinds are being sought for the release party and more information about Pearl’s upcoming events can be found online at www.joannapearl.com. To find out more about her Kickstarter campaign, visit www.joannapearl.com/kickstarter.
