Pickup truck strikes tree in Temecula, leaves four people with moderate to major injuries

TEMECULA - Three people were hurt, including one with major injuries, when a pickup truck struck a tree in Temecula, authorities said on Feb. 3.

The crash was reported around 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 at De Portola Road and Remuda Drive, said Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

patient suffered major injuries and two had moderate injuries, Hagemann said. They were taken by ground ambulance to hospitals for treatment.

The vehicle was a Chevrolet Dually with two rear wheels on each side, according to the California Highway Patrol. Firefighters extricated the driver from the wreckage, the CHP said.
