TEMECULA – The Temecula Valley Rose Society will meet on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 10:15 a.m. at the Temecula Public Library (30600 Pauba Road, Temecula). February is "Membership Drive Month" so all new members who join in February will receive a free rose in a 5-gallon pot, ready for planting.

Marian Guy, owner of an Alpaca Farm in Temecula, will give a presentation on the care and raising of alpacas. She will share her experience in this home-based business.

Guy and her husband first lived in Bonsall and grew avocados but moved to Temecula in 2003. They started their alpaca business with three female alpacas and have enjoyed raising alpacas ever since.

Guests and prospective members are welcome. There is no admission charge. A light luncheon is available after the meeting.

For more information on the Rose Society, go to www.temecualvalleyrosesociety.org or call (951) 551-5505.
