Windy weather is expected to make its way into the deserts and mountain areas of Riverside County and could make driving conditions more difficult, according to a National Weather Service report.

The report said a trough of low pressure moving northward is expected to create 15-20 mile per hour winds and 45 mile per hour gusts. A wind Advertisement

advisory was set in effect at noon today and is expected to last through midday Monday.

Blowing sand and dust will make driving conditions particularly difficult for motorists, especially those in high profile vehicles, according to the National Weather Service.

Those individuals were encouraged to look out for debris and other items like broken tree limbs while driving.
