LAKE ELSINORE - A downed power line caused an outage that affected more than 200 businesses and residents in Lake Elsinore, a Southern California Edison spokeswoman said today.

The outage was reported at 2:12 p.m. and happened at the corner of Mill Street and Avenue 5. It affected 219 customers who had their power restored by 3:55 p.m., SCE spokeswoman Jennifer Manfre said.

SCE officials suspect a fuse around the power line malfunctioned, Manfre said.
