The much-anticipated redesigned 2014 WRX STI has arrived in showrooms nationwide, including the John Hine Subaru dealership in Temecula. The perennial iconic video game star and "Fast and Furious" candidate can be spotted from afar with its signature large rear wing; the limited edition Launch model (only 1,000 made) sports gold BBSâ forged alloy wheels, WR Classic Blue Pearl paint and unique interior trim.

In addition to its rally-bred drive train and all-wheel-drive handling, the global compact-car performance model features a stiffer-tuned revised suspension, four-door aero wide-body design, the most powerful engine in its segment (a 305-hp turbocharged boxer engine), a Driver-Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) All-Wheel Drive that can be custom-tuned for multiple conditions from street to track.

Active Torque Vectoring has also been added to the arsenal of the model’s proven handling technologies to facilitate more neutral cornering. The STI also has bigger Brembo brakes with Super Sport ABS and hydraulic assist steering with a quicker ratio (13:1 vs 15:1).

The interior features leather and Alcantara seating with red and black bolsters and red stitching, a motorsports-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel that tilts and telescopes, dual zone climate control, an improved driver-focused center console, and LED headlamps and turn signals. There is more interior room and a standard rear-view camera as well as an available premium harmon/kardonâ audio system.

Subaru produces a full line of all-wheel drive sedans, crossovers and SUVs, along with the rear-wheel drive BRZ sports car. Test drive them all today at John Hine Subaru in Temecula, conveniently located on Ynez Drive at the beginning of the Temecula Auto Mall.
