HS Baseball: Vista Murrieta defeats Villa Park

The Vista Murrieta Broncos trounced the visiting Villa Park Spartans, 8-2 in Saturday's non-league contest.

Colton Gerhart, Ruben Ornelas and Alex Jaques all had 2 hits in the contest and sophomore Chance Hroch picked up the win by hurling 5 complete innings where he only gave up 2 hits, walked 1 and had 3 strike outs on the day.

Coming up next, the Broncos will encounter the Aliso Niguel Wolverines in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 11.

Vista Murrieta will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Wolverines come into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Millikan (Long Beach, CA).

Funny, as soon as I make a politically incorrect comment about the rod run, you yank that story down and replace it with this "insignificant filler material" and bury the rod run piece? Hmmmmm.

EDITOR: Reality CHecker, your comment was approved. We try and change the front story daily and that story was moved to the Auto Section down below on the front page. It's still there. We wouldn't take it down. They just move down as we load new stories daily.
