Lake Elsinore Officers Receive Awards at MADD Luncheon

LAKE ELSINORE - SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE -Officers Timothy Wisniewski and Richard Williams of the Lake Elsinore Police Department's Traffic Team were recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) at the annual Riverside County MADD awards luncheon. Officer Williams received an award for the 70 drinking and driving arrests he made in 2013 and Officer Wisniewski received an award for the 110 arrests he made for drinking and driving in 2013.

The city of Lake Elsinore is committed to reducing drinking and driving and its ill effects. This is clearly indicated by the commitment its officers, to include not only officers Wisniewski and Williams, but all the officers Advertisement

patrolling the streets of Lake Elsinore. Through grants funded by the Office of Traffic Safety and Avoid the 30, the city of Lake Elsinore deploys its members in DUI checkpoints and DUI saturation patrols. These techniques have proven to be very effective in the fight against drinking and driving. In 2013 the Lake Elsinore Police Department made over 200 DUI arrests.

The city of Lake Elsinore would like to thank officers Wisniewski and Williams for their dedication to the city’s commitment to making our community safer for the motoring public. Their dedication to public safety and their unwavering pursuit of drunk drivers is to be commended.
