String of increasing gasoline prices ends

RIVERSIDE - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $4, one day after surpassing the $4 mark for the first time since Sept. 19.

the price rose 24.2 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 3.9 cents more than one week ago and 21.6 cents higher than one month ago, but 14.4 cents less than one year ago.

California idiots will see fuel average $5.23 a gallon one year from today.
