Trailer damaged in fire in Anza

ANZA - Fire damaged a mobile home and threatened another one today in Anza, but nobody was injured.

The blaze was reported around 11:10 a.m. in the 41600 block of Mount Road, near the Cahuilla Indian Reservation, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

two dozen firefighters, arrived to find a single-wide trailer ablaze, a fire department spokeswoman said.

She said the trailer was linked to another trailer by a covered walkway.

It was not immediately clear whether the structures were occupied.

Crews were expected to be at the location for several hours.

If the structure was on indian land then it doesn't have to be up to code. Tribal members can put up structures where ever and how ever they please. When accidents happen, it is the county that bears the cost of tribal independence. Their casino is a joke as is the jobs given to tribal members that are paid for by the federal government.
