  • TVHS 1 - MVHS 0

The Golden Bears beat Murrieta Valley 1-0 in a tough pitching duel Thursday. Temecula Valley’s only run came in the fourth inning when AJ Sawyer single to score Drew Seelman. That one run held up as Brandon Koch and Jared Morton combined to shutout the Nighthawks. Koch would get the win and Morton would earn the save for TVHS.

Murrieta Valley’s Ben Mora was slapped with the loss. Temecula Valley improves to 13-3 overall and 4-1 in league. Murrieta Valley is 3-2 in league and 10-6 overall.

  • VMHS 14 - CHS 5

The Broncos put on an offensive demonstration as they scored in every inning in Thursday’s game against the Pumas. Vista Murrieta scored a run in the first, second and third and three more in the fourth.

After scoring two more in the fifth, the Pumas exploded for five in the sixth to put the game out of reach. They scored an "insurance" run again in their final at bat. Coltin Gerhart and Hunter Tidwell both went 4-for-4 and scored 4-runs to lead the onslaught. Gerhart also hit a home run and ended up with 4-RBIs. Angel Ortiz was 3-3 with a double. JT McLellan also homered for the Broncos. Jack Moberg was the winning pitcher.

Justin Toerner hit a home run for the Pumas and Jackson Schlekewey was the losing pitcher. Chaparral is 6-7 overall and 1-5 in league, The Broncos have improved to 2-3 in league and are 12-4 overall.

  • GOHS 10 - MMHS 5.

The Rams took the lead early scoring 2-runs in the first inning. Great Oak rallied for four in the third to take back the lead. The Rams fought off the Wolfpack and tied the score in the sixth inning only to give up six huge runs in the bottom half of the inning to fall to Great Oak 10-5.

Brad Wegman pitched six innings and picked up the win for the Wolfpack. Eli Lingos batting at the bottom of the lineup led the Great Oak attack going 2-for-3 scoring twice and knocking in two. Logan Morrison was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, Mitch Hayes was 3-for-4 and Chandler Wagoner 2-for-3.

Austen Salcedo was the Rams losing pitcher. Offensively, Salcedo went 2-for-4 with a double. Trae Erickson also was 2-for-4 for Murrieta Mesa. The loss drops the Rams to 2-4 in league and 7-9 overall. The Wolfpack is tied for first in the Southwestern League with Temecula Valley with a 4-1 league record. They are 14-3 overall.
