Menifee Man Killed On Bike

PERRIS - A 61-year-old Menifee man was killed today when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car in Perris, authorities said.

The crash happened around 9:50 a.m. in the 3100 block of Railroad Canyon Road, said Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. J.P. Strang.

he was struck by a Honda Civic driven by 21-year-old Dylan Fisher of Yucaipa, Strang said.

"Although the bicyclist was wearing a helmet, he sustained major head trauma and internal injuries," Strang said, adding that he man was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Fisher stopped at the scene, was interviewed and released, Strang said.

Eastbound Railroad Canyon Road was closed in the area of the crash until 2:40 p.m., Strang said.
