RIVERSIDE - Just under 1,000 Southern California Edison customers remained without power this afternoon in Riverside County.

According to SCE, electricity had been restored to roughly 500 customers since 8 a.m.

Outages were ongoing in areas of Hemet, Homeland, Idyllwild, Moreno Valley and Sage. According to SCE, wind-related damage to transmission lines was responsible for most of the power disruptions, which began Wednesday.

"SCE personnel, including restoration and repair crews, are responding to outages, with a priority of restoring service to the most heavily impacted customers that have been without power the longest," said Advertisement
