One person was trapped in the wreckage when two vehicles crashed early today north of Moreno Valley.

The collision was reported at 12:54 a.m. on Pigeon Pass Road, south of Cougar Canyon Drive, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

Firefighters used cutting tools to free one person who was trapped in one of the vehicles. That person was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Hendrickson said.
