UCLA bound Selina Ta’amlio pitched her second shutout in two days as she overwhelmed Esperanza on her way to a 7-0 victory in round one of the Ford CIF SS Division 1 Softball Championships. Ta’amlio has allowed only two hits and not given up a run in the first two games of the tournament. She also hit her second home run of the palyoffs

The Broncos had four home runs in the game against the Aztecs. Sydney Romero had a two run blast. It was her third in two days. Clarissa Flexen and Yvonne Siordia also homered for Vista Murrieta. Kylie Keller doubled and scored for the Broncos.

The Broncos advance and will now host Orange Lutheran on Thursday in round two of the playoffs. The Lancers are coming off a first round 6-0 victory over Arlington. The Trinity League Champions are 21-9 overall and led by Adrianna Millan and Mackenzie Boesel.

The Broncos improve to 20-8 overall and have won their last six games. Game time is 3:15pm.
