RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE - On Thursday, May 22, 2014, officers assigned to the Temecula Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted undercover "John" stings. "John" programs concentrate on the men who solicit women for prostitution related activities. The focus of these programs is persons who arrange prostitution related activities via social media websites and choose a mutually agreed upon location to meet. Typically, the "Johns" are individuals from other areas that choose locations within our city to meet and engage in their illegal activity. We continue to monitor social media sites and our efforts to stop this activity in Temecula will continue. During the operation, five men were arrested for solicitation of prostitution.

The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center:

Singh Avineet, 25 years-old, Wildomar

Herbert Slocum, 52 years-old, Valley Center

James Skinner, 36 years-old, Temecula

Kieran Popo, 36 years-old, United Kingdom

Ignacio Ramirez, 37 years-old, Nuevo

The Temecula Police Department will continue to conduct operations in the city to concentrate on solicitation of prostitution and the men who seek their services. The Temecula Police Department is dedicated to maintaining a high quality of life and encourages citizens to report any suspicious activity they observe. Anyone with questions about this operation can contact Sergeant Chris Gaskins of the Temecula Police Department at (951) 696-3128.

TEMECULA - Five men, including one British national, have been arrested during a prostitution sting in Temecula, a sergeant said today.

Sheriff's deputies began their operation Thursday at a location on Moraga Road. The men allegedly set up dates with undercover decoys via social media web sites and met with them at an undisclosed place, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Chris Gaskins said.

The sting was not publicized until today. All of the suspects were arrested and booked for suspicion of soliciting prostitutes.

They all posted $2,500 bail and have been released, records showed.

Arrested were Avineet Singh, 25, of Wildomar, Herbert Slocum, 52, of Valley Center in San Diego County, James Joseph Skinner, 36, of Temecula, Kieran Latinus Popo, 36, of the United Kingdom, and Ignacio Ramirez, 37, of Nuevo.

All you people running your mouths about my brother should shut up because they don't know what the real story is. As far as MY family talking crap on other people , isn't true . Karma ? You think its karma when a person is at the wrong place at the wrong time go ahead think what you want about our family , no ones going to stop you. My brother hasn't raped or gave any money for sex. If you weren't there and didn't know what happened please don't go around saying stuff About MY family. Everyone makes mistakes in life I don't think there is one person in this universe that is perfect. At last, I don't even think you guys should be running your mouths because you guys don't have the courage to say it off anon. We all know there are people in your family that have gotten in far more deep then this. Look at yourselves before raising fingers at us.

Please, Everyone.....Write in complete sentences that MAKE SENSE! Some of these comments read like you simply pick out random words from the dictionary and paste them in a post. The level of illiteracy is sickening! If you want anyone that reads them to understand what it is you are trying to say, then quit writing like your illiterate! (Or maybe you really are?) I suppose that's possible these days. High school graduates read and write at a third grade level. Our future is doomed. If these posts are any indication of the level of literacy that comes out of high school, then we are royally screwed. Imagine your oncologist writing a cancer treatment plan that sounded like comment #10. Its your world, folks.
