County sheriff's Sgt. Nathan Kaas, deputies patrolling the area of Corydon Road and Grand Avenue around 10:30 p.m. spotted a green Honda Accord reported stolen hours earlier out of Glendora.

The deputies signaled the driver to pull over, but he fled instead, going about a mile to the intersection of Palomar Street and Skylark Drive, where the car abruptly stopped, Kaas said.

The trio ran from the vehicle but were captured moments later with the help of a K-9 unit and a sheriff's helicopter crew, the sergeant said.

No injuries were reported.
