MVUSD hires three new assistant principals

MURRIETA - Murrieta Valley Unified School District Superintendent Pat Kelley announced the hiring and promotion of several assistant principals for the upcoming school year.

Kim Ciabattini has been hired to serve as assistant principal at Cole Canyon Elementary School. Ciabattini comes to the district from Santa Rosa Academy where she was the assistant principal at the K-12 charter school for 3 years. She taught 4th and 5th grade in the Temecula Valley Unified District and also served as an administrator for Eagles Peak Charter School. Ciabattini has a Masters of Education from Azusa Pacific University and a BA from San Diego State University. Ciabattini is a highly-qualified instructional leader who is committed to increasing student achievement.

Tye Allenbrand has been promoted and he will serve as assistant principal at Monte Vista Elementary School. Allenbrand came to the district in 2011 and he has served as a program specialist. Before coming to the district Allenbrand was special education teacher and program specialist in the Alvord Unified School District. Advertisement

He also served as principal for Keystone Schools, a non-public school. Allenbrand holds a Masters in Special Education and a teaching credential from National University and a BA from Cal State San Bernardino. Allenbrand is committed to providing a positive educational environment for students that meets their social, emotional and behavioral needs.

Joshua Fogal has been hired to serve as assistant principal at Lisa J. Mails Elementary. Joshua comes to the district from a large suburban intermediate school district in Chicago, Illinois, where he taught fifth grade for seven years before serving as assistant principal for three years at the school. Joshua has a BS in Education from Illinois State University and a M.ED from Eastern Illinois University. He also has an administrative services credential. Joshua is a strong instructional leader well-versed in implementing academic standards and known for being responsive to student, staff and parents.

"These administrators bring proven leadership skills," Superintendent Pat Kelley said. "I am confident they will work to provide a successful learning experience for our students."
