Issue 35, Volume 18.

Two faulty transformers in a Murrieta neighborhood caused an overnight blackout that affected 40 homes, a spokesman said today.

The outage was reported at 4:39 p.m. Saturday and occurred separately at Calle Cenise and Calle Del Buho. A restoration time was estimated at 5 p.m. today, Southern California Edison spokesman Robert Villegas said.

The repair job required work crews to spend a long time fixing, or replacing, the transformers, Villegas said.
