Last updated 10/11/2017 at Noon

Nearly 900 customers on the Temecula-Murrieta border were without power Wednesday morning, Oct. 11, because of an underground cable failure, a Southern California Edison spokeswoman said.

The outage was reported about 10:22 a.m. Wednesday and affected an estimated 896 customers, according to Southern California Edison spokeswoman Susan Cox.

She said the outage affected customers between Fig Street to the north, Overland Drive to the south, Interstate 15 to the east and Diaz Road to the west.

"As of noon today service was restored to all but three customers and they look like they'll be getting power back shortly," Cox said.
