Escondido man arrested in connection with Old Town Temecula break-in

Deputies on Monday morning, Oct. 16 arrested a 33-year-old Escondido man who they say is suspected of burglarizing a business in Old Town Temecula.

Christopher Joseph Peterson was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and second degree burglary, online jail records show.

Peterson remained booked at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley as of Wednesday night with bail set at $10,000.

Authorities say they went to go check on an activated alarm at a business in the 41000 block of Third Street and found Peterson hiding in a courtyard.
