Blaze breaks out south of Corona

CORONA - A wildfire broke out today in the Cleveland National Forest south of Corona, but the dimensions of the blaze were not immediately clear.

No homes or other structures were under immediate threat from the fire, which was reported about 12:40 p.m. on a hillside about a mile south of Bulrush Circle, in rugged terrain not accessible to vehicles, according to the Corona

Fire Department.

A fire captain said the brush fire was in thick vegetation, not far from the burn area of the first "Canyon Fire" in late September.
