MURRIETA - A 20-year-old man accused, with a convicted felon, in an attack on a Lake Elsinore woman who was shot while at the wheel of her car was charged Thursday with attempted murder.

Elijah Lamaj Crayton of Lake Elsinore was arrested Monday night following the shooting near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Marie Drive. Along with the attempted murder count, Crayton is charged with a sentence-enhancing gun use allegation.

He's being held in lieu of $2 million bail at the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta and is slated to make his initial court appearance...
